lyrics

The cows in my colorbook munched weedless pastures
near big white barns that had silos
The children always smiled at their smiling friends
in clean white clothes.
The mothers never yelled and fathers had belts
that never whipped.
The grass was clean and hid no snakes or glass
or rusty tin.
And no one was ever lonesome
at all.
