Magic Stone 02:53
Once upon a fine day There was this lonely little boy Who played beside a pond He found a stone That glittered in the sun The colors of the rainbow Shiny like a gem So he made a stone wish Thinking that with some magic luck He'd find himself a friend And out of a cloud A little girl appeared And they began to play All different kinds of games Many, many hours passed Two friends playing in the breeze And wading to their knees Until the time came for setting of the sun Magic Stones are good Magic Stones are fun!

Hey Gilles 03:08
Let it go, let it go, let it go Hey Gilles, why you such a big wheel Hey Gilles, why you such a big wheel Traveling with the tide, Mormos on your side So let it go, let it go, let it go. Lulu, what the heck do you do Lulu, what the heck do you do Traveling with the tide, all your cleats inside So let it go, let it go, let it go. Hey Jack, boy we’re glad you came back Hey Jack, boy we’re glad you came back Traveling toward the sun, loved by everyone So let it go, let it go, let it go. Bruno, your language is a no, no Bruno, what the hell do you know Traveling with the tide, that’s your problem, not mine So let it go, let it go, let it go.

about

(Please refer to "Great Wall of China" album notes for more information about the original MORMOS.)

This was the second MORMOS single, and the third recording. This was originally released in 1972 on CBS-France. This was the first release featuring (Rick) Ernie Mansfield as a composer, along with Elliott Delman, who had written only one song on the first album. Our friend Dan Fogelberg was a co-writer on “Hey Gilles” as well. (Dan later went on to greater fame with his songs (“Longer”, “Same Old Lang Syne”, “Leader of the Band”, etc.).

The record company wanted something more "commercial", and Jim, our fearless leader, felt that these songs would fit the bill.
